The Knox Indy Pro-Am announced earlier this month that they would be hosting a different format in their fourth year of operation than in years past. Each week they will host a "feature" game to round out the night at 8:00.
Week one starts this Thursday, August 1st, and the feature game of the week is IU basketball alumni paired against Purdue basketball alumni.
Marquee players playing for Indiana are Jordan Hulls, D.J. White, Derek Elston, and Rodrick Wilmont.
The marquee players for Purdue are E'Twuan Moore, JaJuan Johnson, D.J. Byrd, and David Teague.
Tickets for week one are $20, and can be purchased at the door, or at http://knoxindyproam.com. The game will be played at Cardinal Ritter High School.
This should be a fun event for the fans of both teams, but Purdue would seem to have the advantage with two active NBA players on their roster.
With that said, it will be fun to see how some of the recent graduates have grown in their off-season before playing overseas, and it will be interesting to see how some of the older guys have developed since playing in college.
